Usage statistics
To learn how many people use Mapzone and which features matter, the app and the website send anonymous usage statistics:
- which map and map style is opened, and which features are used (layers, routes, squads, challenges, 3D view, markers)
- whether it's the app or the website, and the version
- your country, as reported by Cloudflare for the request
- in the app only: a random install ID, so active users can be counted. It isn't linked to you in any way.
We don't collect your name, Steam account, IP address, or where you are on the map. The website stores nothing on your device; each visit gets a new random ID.
Statistics are kept for 3 months. In the app you can turn them off under ⚙ Settings → Usage statistics.
Squads
When you join a squad, your chosen name, colour and map markers are relayed to the other members while you're connected. Nothing is stored on the server; a squad disappears when everyone leaves.
Settings and markers
Your settings, markers and challenge progress are saved only on your own device.
Services
Mapzone runs on Cloudflare (website, map files, squads and statistics).
